State Testing
Schools no longer need to give the state test for any scholarship students. MAP is an approved alternative for grades 3-8. Elementary schools may want to consider giving the state reading tests for 3rd grade students to have an extra chance to make the TGRG cut score.
Each high school may select their own alternative test(s) for the End Of Course exams, or may give the EOCs if they choose. Elementary schools that offer high school level courses, such as Algebra, need to make sure there is an opportunity to take the state EOC or an alternative test. State testing dates can be found here: http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Testing/Test-Dates/
While schools will most likely not need to give state tests, they should indicate they plan on giving the state tests on the annual Intent To Participate Survey. This does not commit the school to give the tests, but it does leave the option available should the need arise.
