Religion Class

At St. Joseph Catholic School, our students grow not only in academics, but in their faith. Rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition, our religion program nurtures students from preschool through 8th grade with a deep understanding of God’s love and the teachings of the Church.

Preschool & Kindergarten

• Preschool students experience faith through simple prayers, stories, and daily reminders of God’s love. Religion is naturally woven into their day.
• Kindergarten students receive a dedicated block of religion class each day, and spiritual growth is gently integrated into their daily learning.

Grades 1–8

• Students in grades 1 through 8 attend religion class, where they explore the foundations of the Catholic faith.
• Lessons include Bible stories, Church teachings, the precepts of the faith, and sacramental preparation for those who are Catholic.
• All instruction aligns with the Diocese of Toledo religion curriculum to ensure students receive age-appropriate, authentic Catholic teaching.
• Our teachers also incorporate faith-based values and themes throughout every subject, helping students see God’s presence in all areas of life.

Through prayer, scripture, community, and tradition, we help our students grow as disciples of Christ every day.

As part of their spiritual formation, all students attend weekly Mass together. This special time allows them to participate in the liturgy, hear God’s Word, and grow in their relationship with Jesus as a school community. It’s a joyful and important part of our week that brings our faith to life.
